Night High School teachers visit Learning Center student at Parkland Hospital (04-Apr-2014) Night High School teachers David Mask, Frank Paukovitz, and Chris Boynick visited Learning Center student, Philip Brown, at Parkland Hospital. Philip was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Lewisville on Sunday, March 30th. The teachers were glad to report that Philip is recovering and is expected to be released from Parkland Hospital very soon.

ESL Teacher, Chris Boynick, attends Stephen Krashen Conference (28-Mar-2014) LISD Night High School English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher attends Stephen Krashen Conference in Arlington, Texas.
A pioneer in his field, Dr. Krashen is constantly in demand as a Consultant and speaker. He is a Professor of Education, Emeritus, at the University of Southern California and works with teachers and their students...and knows the realities and challenges facing language teachers every day.
Dr. Krashen is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, the most recent being: Doctor of Humane Letters, Commencement Speaker, Lewis and Clark College.
He is author of many internationally acclaimed books...most notable are: The Power of Reading, Condemned Without a Trial: Bogus Arguments Against Bilingual Education and Foreign Language Teaching: The Easy Way.
LISD Issued iPad Notice
Lewisville ISD believes that the IOS 7.1 upgrade for iPads may be released during Spring Break. Parents, please share with your students to not upgrade to IOS 7.1 during this time. The district’s technology department will test the new version to ensure no issues exist with currently installed software. After the testing period, LISD will inform students to upgrade to IOS 7.1.
